Hello, so I use to play gta 5 online on the ps3. Now I have an Xbox One and I recently have been really interested in GTA 5. For me it's 50/50 to get the game as I think it be a waste of money as in a couple of years I would like to upgrade to a new Xbox or maybe a pc and if I spend money on gta5 now it would be a waste. Some of my friends play they are doing the Diamond Casino preps and I'm would start from zero so basically it would be solo. I also like doing solo lobbies as it's me. So should I buy GTA 5 for $30 on the Microsoft store(digital) to play mostly solo and maybe with the boys.

I started leveling my new character on PC last night, and I am looking for people to play with, mainly heists but I can also help with sell missions and preps. I am currently rank 17 or 18 but I have GTA Online experience as I played already on three platforms before (PS3 back in the day, PC but lost access to that account and PS4). I mostly played on PS4, and I am experienced with heists (mostly Diamond Casino Heists but I had my fair share of playtime for both OG and Doomsday heists). 10 things i expect from GTA V on PS5 in order to be worthy purchase and not just cash grab.
Rockstar needs to add a lot of things into GTA V on PS5 in order to force players to buy it again. A lot of new content. Anything below that should be considered cash grab like Mafia II Remaster and Mafia III Remaster and i personally, as a big Rockstar fan, will protest and raise my voice against purchasing it. Here's list, and it's just mine opinion. 1.GRAPHICS IMPROVEMENTS I expect the graphics improvements on the level of PS3/PS4 difference. Higher resolution textures, better and reworked lighting system, better reflections, increased draw distance properties, increased shadow distance and similar. 2.WEATHER SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS Volumetric clouds from Red Dead Redemption 2 I expect reworked weather system aka timecycle system. They should add volumetric clouds, more variety of weather patterns, dynamic weather phenomena like working lightning strike feature and similar. Also, expecting to see improved puddle system and improved cloth material variations according to current weather. 3. BUSINESSES FROM GTA ONLINE IMPLEMENTED INTO GTA V Variety of interesting businesses. They could implement these businesses into GTA Online for Michael, Franklin & Trevor, after completing the Storyline 100%. For criminals, there's never enough money. Michael should operate CEO, Counterfeit Cash, Forgery and Bunker business, Trevor would operate Hangar, Meth, Cocaine businesses and Franklin could operate Import Export, Nightclub & Weed businesses. 4. THE DIAMOND CASINO AND RESORT SHOULD BE OPENED IN THE STORY MODE The Diamond Casino & Resort, 2019, Los Santos. There should be like time skip, 7 years after you complete the story line. And Diamond Casino & Resort should be opened with a lot of possibilities, including maybe Michael, Franklin and Trevor getting back in the business and robbing that Casino for Lester instead of GTA Online crew. Not to mention lucky wheel, podium vehicles, variety of minigames and similar. 5. ARCADES SHOULD BE PRESENT IN STORY MODE Arcades. Franklin and Jimmy should be able to buy arcades in the cooperation with each other since they have a good relationship. You should be able to play a lot of minigames inside of Arcades and plan Heists with Michael and Trevor. Plus a lot of businesses additions should be present regarding arcade bussiness. 6. ONLINE ONLY VEHICLE SHOULD BE STORY MODE PODIUM VEHICLES Stromberg Rockstar should implement the system where every in-game week, there's new podium vehicle that was exclusive to Online, at Casino in Story Mode, and you can win in and keep it in your Garage in story mode. Also, maybe we should be able to buy these vehicles from in-game sites and store them into our garages. 7. WE SHOULD BE ABLE TO BUY MORE PROPERTIES LIKE GARAGES, HOUSES AND APARTMENTS IN STORYLINE MODE GTA Online apartment All that earned money from businesses needs to be spent somehow. Buying new, Online exclusive vehicles right now, spending it at the Casino or buying properties and reselling them, for example. 8. PROPERTIES INCLUDING APARTMENTS, MICHAEL, FRANKLIN & TREVOR HOUSES SHOULD HAVE MORE CUSTOMIZATION OPTIONS. De Santa residence, Los Santos, 2013. We should be able to customize, paint walls, change furniture and similar in Storyline mode. 9. ONLINE ONLY WEAPONS SHOULD BE ADDED TO STORY MODE IN A FORM OF MOC UPGRADING AND VARIOUS NEW EASTER EGG QUESTS FOR OBTAINING LEGENDARY WEAPONS. Mk2 Weapons and their customization We should be able to upgrade our weapon even more in Story Mode by owning the Mobile Operational Center. And various easter eggs and treasure hunts should reward us with legendary weapons like double-action revolver and similar. 10. VARIOUS TECHNICAL IMPROVEMENTS AND NEW RADIO STATIONS I expect various technical improvements regarding GTA Online and GTA V. GTA V requires one huge analysis to fix some cosmetic and rather annoying bugs like missing gun magazines from the cutscenes that hasn't been fixed since they added drum magazines. They should improve stability of GTA Online and fix various issues regarding Heists like dissapearing Rashkovsky bug during Prison Break which is game breaking bug. Also, SSD should improve loading times to the max. What do you think about this? For me personally, if some miracle happens and they include everything, or even half of this in the next-gen game, i would be very happy to buy GTA V again. What would you add more to this?
A few weeks before the Diamond Casino update released, I got back to GTA Online after a very long break (almost a year). Today I was reminded how much time in total I used to play this game, which made me remember all these good and bad memories from the last few years. I think I could almost say I grew up with it. I started playing on October 3rd 2013 on my old PS3 system when I first got the game. It was a birthday gift when I turned 14 and used to play it almost every week at least once since then. At that time my two best friends (twins) also got the game for their PS3 which they shared with each other. But that didn’t bother either of them nor me. In fact they got the game on release which meant they were already more experienced than I was due to single player – so naturally I was really looking forward to finally get to play with them. I started the game, played the prologue and was so amazed by the game’s intro. The music, the setting, the graphics – it was PERFECT. But I couldn’t lose any more time. I switched to Online as soon as possible to find my friends (at least the one of the two who was playing). I hit ‘em up on WhatsApp and told them I finally got the game and was playing the introduction, which – if you remember – didn’t immediately allow you to join your friends. But oh boy, when I was done – shit got so real. Now, I don’t know why and it probably won’t make sense to you, but the first time I met online with M (one of the twins, the other one we’ll call K) was hilarious as f***. I just sat in my Dominator around Vinewood hills and saw on my map that he was getting closer pretty fast. When he reached me, he full speed drove off my right car door that was open and it flew pretty far away. I couldn’t control myself and just had to laugh. It was somehow magical to finally play this game with a friend, after being excited for it multiple months. That was probably my prime time. It didn’t matter to us how much money we had, if somebody killed us or if we were just bad at the game in general. We played it, because it was FUN. And in school we were always talking about what to do next. It was a very memorable time and I’m very grateful for it. Unfortunately this only lasted a year and a half before I had to leave my school and visit a new one (grades weren’t that good and I faced a few issues with one of my teachers, which was my main reason to leave). We promised we’d stay friends forever and yeah, I still am in contact with them to this day. But I wouldn’t say we’re friends. We often got into a fight because they got themselves a tank which they used to blow me up in the middle of a session which made me – in my young age – very angry. I took the game way too serious than I want to admit. Only a few days after I left our school they pretty much lost interest in playing with me, which made me very sad for a long time (I struggled with finding new friends at my new school, which made me feel very lonely). Luckily after a year I finally made two new good friends, one of which became my best friend still to this day (let’s call him B). They were both playing on Xbox360 while I was “stuck” on PS3. But I was just happy that I wasn’t lonely anymore and we got to hang out regularly in real life. After we graduated our ways parted and once again I was on a new school trying to achieve my Abitur (I live in Germany. That’s just a better graduation than the one I already had). I stayed in contact with B and though we didn’t see each other in a long time, it didn’t break our friendship. Then it happened – my big brother gave me his Xbox One, because he bought himself an Xbox One S. And guess what? The game he bought for me? GTA V. I discovered that I was able to transform my old character (who by now owned a very large amount of money through hackers/modders). Well, not as directly as I thought. I spent an entire day buying and replacing T2s in order to lose lots of my money because Rockstar didn’t allow players with so much money transform over their characters. Eventually I stopped at 300 million and I finally made it to next gen. It was such a huge difference and I finally got to enjoy all the updates I missed out on which didn’t release on old gen. My brother started playing with me and I got into a second time of my life in this game. It made me appreciate it even more and I was really happy again. At the beginning of 2018 B got himself an Xbox One as well and we finally got to play with each other. I taught him everything I knew and since he knew my brother, we made a fantastic trio online. Now both of them slowly abandon gaming in general. My brother only occasionally plays on his Switch, while B is too busy with his girlfriend. But all these memories – of how me and M or K took over the city with our free Elegys and driveby skills, or when we used to play missions for entire nights during summer. Or how I got to play Heists with my brother and his friends for my first time or how B and I pretty much did everything imaginable, like suiciding with a Titan into other players on the highway or when we “kidnapped” other people’s cars with the cargobob. Sometimes I miss the simplicity the vanilla GTA Online had. Where the most expensive car was the Truffade Adder and you actually saw players robbing liquor stores. I just wanted to share this experience with you guys, because I want to know how you guys experienced GTA Online. I’m 20 now and thinking back to all these happy days of my life really made me nostalgic. Thanks to you all for your patience reading this. I wish you a healthy and long life.

I have a ps3 and have been playing gta for yrs but am new to online. Everyone talks about the diamond casino but when I go there it’s still the ‘Lady Luck’ casino opening soon. I’m a level 9 right now and don’t have any houses yet.

A tinfoil hat theory about aliens and Arena War, and how Rockstar could conclude the Easter eggs of GTA V
(Sorry for long post) Put on your tinfoil hats for this one, but it seems to me like the small mysteries Rockstar is throwing in to each update might be pieces of a larger puzzle. Things we know about the Arena War update: -As of right now, it is the second to last update chronologically and the last update of 2018. -Despite Rockstar putting more work than usual into the update, and releasing it during the coveted holiday season, the update was for the most part not very popular in the long run. It had two large new interiors, unique game modes with new physics and highly customizable vehicles, as well as fully voice acted cutscenes, but was relegated to the tier of “lower quality” updates like Southern San Andreas Super Sport. I personally enjoyed it, but I know many didn’t mainly due to the grindiness of the sponsorship tiers and the relatively low payouts. -Arena War was rife with sci-fi/apocalypse themed content. The “Apocalypse” and “Future Shock” arenas are very obviously comprised of recycled DLC architecture. There are alien costumes the player can buy that could honestly be fully functional alien enemies if put on an NPC. -There were three laseenergy weapons added in this update, again obviously reused DLC content. Laser weapons can also be added to vehicles. This is the first “canon” appearance of laser weaponry in the HD GTA universe, and the first we’ve seen in game since the green laser ammo type was found in the PS3/360 game files. -Lastly, hidden images of Cliffford codes and potted plants were found in the Future Shock arena. What we know about the Diamond Casino update: -First and only update in 2019, already more than halfway through the year. -Once again features loads of sci-fi inspired content, including some very meta wall art that directly references the game’s Easter eggs. -With the wall art and the painting of the Chiliad Mural lines included, there are now technically 4 and a half different styled depictions of the Chiliad Mural in-game. -There are a lot of unreleased/undeployed features in this update. A new Arena game mode called “King of the Hill”, Creator Modes for King of the Hill and Survivals, as well as an “alien survival” game mode that uses the Arena War laser weapons, and “Omega power cells” in place of armor pickups. It apparently also includes an animation of aliens landing and exiting a spacecraft. -Survival payouts were tweaked for the first time since basically launch, now adjusting for the amount of time played. With the new formula you can earn up to $90,000 as opposed to the previous $30,000. -Rockstar added the necessary code to enable double or triple Arena Points for future events. -The 28 peyote plants from Story Mode will eventually be present in online. Based on unused notifications, they appear to be last chronologically in the 3 collectible strands, after playing cards and action figures. We know that at least the Bigfoot peyote is able to be eaten repeatedly, as eating it at the wrong time turns you into a poodle instead. Bigfoot is once again locked behind time and weather RNG just as he is in Story Mode. -The Diamond Update reportedly gave the game its highest player counts unseen since 2013. Other things to consider: -Rockstar has shown a history of attempting to “revive” dead or unpopular game modes. Playlists with low player counts are often made x2 money and RP for the week. Hangar aircraft received more planes and helicopters a year and a half later. They added new, interesting Simeon missions and gave him a map blip to get people to care. In the Diamond update, they even reworked Daily Objectives, a mostly forgotten last-gen feature. So why list all of this out? I believe we can draw some conclusions from this information. -Rockstar has never given this game a “lifespan” but updates are certainly slowing down. If they are so keen on reusing every bit of scrapped Alien DLC content for online, the actual invasion itself would be an eventual step, and doing so at the end when the game’s hype is strongest would be a no-brainer, ending everything off with a bang. How are they going to do this? I think the “alien invasion” game mode will take place in the arena. The Future Shock decorations would make more sense and would be a much cooler and more fitting backdrop to the battle than regular Los Santos. If they kept it in the city, it would be to similar to Michael’s Grass Roots mission and wouldn’t be as satisfying. Keeping it arena-bound could mitigate some complaints about in-universe realism without sacrificing fun. How do the other game modes fit in to this? The most Rockstar way of doing it I can think of would be using them to build hype to an eventual playable invasion. A new lucrative, customizable Survival and a brand new Arena experience, with their own double point event weeks, would get people excited again about two somewhat forgotten modes. Rockstar then pulls the ultimate finale with Alien Survival essentially combining the two. Loose ends: -The inclusion of peyote content in two subsequent updates makes me think they will further that mystery with another future update. The peyotes’ reward for finding all of them in Online is playing as Bigfoot, but he doesn’t seem to be able to do anything special, whereas in Story Mode he is necessary to unlock the Beast. -We also have no clue what the Cliffford codes symbolize in any way. They don’t match any ciphers or patterns, and they’re not Braille. This again smells like future update to me. -The Alien DLC was only 1 of 3 cancelled single player expansions. In Conclusion: -Evidence in game points to a strong possibility of Rockstar using the last of the scrapped Alien DLC for an online game mode and effectively “concluding” the alien saga. Not the most satisfying ending, but it’s better than nothing. -Further anecdotes suggest Rockstar concluding the other Easter egg “story arcs” in future updates, and teasing us now with small hints. At the same time, none of us can know what Rockstar will do and I could be completely wrong. After all, things like the Black Cellphones number and the Doomsday symbols went unfound in the code for months.
